Sampling of the “chicken express” vehicles used for transporting broilers to the slaughterhouse. These vehicles had been poorly cleaned. Swab samples were taken on the day following their use, which was a public holiday. The swabs were used to collect dirt from the vehicle surfaces, mixed with water, and subsequently used to make an imprint on an FTA® card. The resulting PCR test was positive for ILT.
