Avian Encephalomyelitis 002

Chicks only a few days old show the typical clinical signs of avian encephalomyelitis (AE). Marked neurological dysfunction is evident, particularly in vertically infected birds. The signs include fine head tremors, ataxia, and progressive leg weakness, usually appearing from hatching to the end of the first week of life.
