Most of the birds show conjunctivitis. Rattling or gurgling respiratory noises can be heard throughout the house. These are typical respiratory signs. This flock experienced high mortality. Postmortem images from this case are presented in the chapter “Newcastle disease” in this book (Fig. 04.09.16, Fig. 04.09.22, Fig. 04.09.26 and Fig. 04.09.27). Newcastle disease virus belonging to genotype VIIb was isolated from this case.
