Infectious coryza is an acute upper-respiratory bacterial disease of chickens caused by Avibacterium paragallinarum. It occurs rarely, affecting all ages of chickens, though it is most common in breeders and layers, and occasionally in broilers. Clinical signs are rapid-onset facial swelling, conjunctivitis, nasal discharge, sneezing, and marked drop in activity, and the disease spreads quickly through flocks.
