Inclusion Body Hepatitis

Inclusion body hepatitis (IBH) is an acute viral liver disease of broilers, caused by fowl adenoviruses (FAdVs), primarily affecting young broilers and leading to sudden mortality. Main pathological lesions are hepatitis, and characteristic intranuclear inclusion bodies in hepatocytes. It is one of the most important adenovirus-associated diseases in broiler production, often accompanied with immunosuppressive co-infections.
